Candy AI App: Is There One for iPhone or Android?
There is no Candy AI app in the App Store or Google Play. Candy's own help center says Candy.ai doesn't offer a native app for iPhone or Android. Instead, you open candy.ai in your phone's browser and add it to your home screen, where it works like an app. Any "Candy AI" app you find in a store or as an APK is made by someone else.
We make Lovi Dream, a competing AI girlfriend app, and we paid for Candy Premium to test it in October 2026. We checked the app stores for this post on November 4, 2026.
How to install the Candy AI app on iPhone
Candy calls its home screen version a Progressive Web App, which is a website your phone saves as an icon and opens full screen, without the browser's address bar. On an iPhone with iOS 26:
Open candy.ai in Safari.
Tap the three dots next to the address bar, then tap Share. On older versions of iOS, the Share button is at the bottom of the screen.
Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen".
Leave "Open as Web App" switched on, then tap "Add".
The Candy icon now sits on your home screen next to your other apps. Log in with the same account you use on a computer, and your characters, chats and tokens are all there.
How to install the Candy AI app on Android
Open candy.ai in Chrome.
Tap the three dots menu in the top right corner.
Tap "Add to Home screen" (on some phones it says "Install app"), then confirm.
You don't need an APK file or a Google Play download for this. Candy's help center says the home screen version also lets Candy send you push notifications.
Why there is no Candy AI app in the App Store or Google Play
Candy's help center puts it down to speed and a cleaner screen. The store rules are probably the bigger reason. Apple's App Review Guidelines reject apps with "overtly sexual or pornographic material", and Google Play's inappropriate content policy bans apps that contain or promote sexual content. Candy AI sends nude photos and explicit videos, so a store version would either be rejected or have to cut what people pay Candy for.
The same rules apply to every explicit AI girlfriend app. The companion apps you do find in the stores, such as Replika or Kindroid, are rated 17+ and keep to their store's content rules.
Watch out for fake Candy AI apps and APKs
Because Candy has no store app, other developers fill the gap with apps that use its name. When we searched the US App Store for "candy ai" on November 4, 2026, the results included "Candy AI Companion Chat", "CandyMate AI", "Candy: Ai Video Generator" and "Candy AI Scanner", and none of them came from EverAI Limited, the company that runs Candy. On Google Play, a developer page named "Candy AI" belongs to a barber shop and lists no Candy app at all.
APK sites such as APKPure, Uptodown and Softonic also list "Candy AI" downloads. Softonic's, for one, describes an art and video generator that has nothing to do with Candy.ai. An APK installs outside Google Play's checks, so you can't tell who made it or what it does with the login you type into it.

What the Candy AI app costs
The home screen app is the Candy website, so it has the same account and the same prices. Premium costs $13.99 a month and includes 100 tokens, and almost everything beyond text chat uses tokens: a photo in chat costs 2, a Shorts episode after the free ones 30, and a private video pack 145 to 330. Because you pay Candy on its website, the plan doesn't show up under your iPhone's subscriptions or in Google Play. To cancel, go to your account settings on candy.ai, and look for "EverAI" on your card statement. Lovi Dream works the same way on your phone
Lovi Dream is our app, and it isn't in the App Store or Google Play either, for the same reason. You open lovidream.ai in your phone's browser and sign up with one tap through Google, with nothing to download. You can add it to your home screen the same way as Candy.
Lovi Dream has the same kind of chat, photos, Shorts, private packs and Live Action as Candy AI. The difference shows once your plan's tokens run out: $9.99 buys 300 tokens on Lovi Dream, against 100 on Candy AI, so an extra 30-token Shorts episode costs about a third as much. Private packs cost 20 to 60 tokens, though they're shorter than Candy's.
