AI Anime Chat: 5 Best Apps for Adults

The best AI anime chat app for adults depends on what you want from her. Candy AI has the most anime girls who send photos and video, Lovi Dream gives each anime girl a story and adds adult anime comics, SpicyChat has the most free messages, and CrushOn AI has the largest no-filter community library. Character.AI has a huge free library but blocks explicit chat. We make Lovi Dream, so read our take on it with that in mind.

How we ranked them

Most AI anime chat lists cover safe-for-work character apps. This one is for adults who want an anime girlfriend who flirts back, so we checked each app on what that reader cares about:

• Whether explicit chat is allowed

• How many anime characters there are, and who makes them

• Whether she sends anime pictures or video

• What the free account gives you

• What the first paid plan costs

• Memory and voice

We paid for Candy AI Premium and tested it on October 24, 2026. Lovi Dream is our app. For SpicyChat and CrushOn AI we used recent independent reviews, linked in each section, because their pricing pages didn't load for us. Character.AI prices come from its App Store listing on October 28, 2026.

1. Candy AI, best for anime girls with photos and video

Candy AI is an adult AI girlfriend app with hundreds of ready-made characters in realistic, anime and male styles. About a quarter of the characters we counted in October were anime. Every one of them sends pictures in chat, and any picture can be turned into a 5, 10 or 15 second clip.

Candy Premium costs $13.99 a month, with cheaper rates on the 3-month and yearly plans, and includes unlimited text chat and 100 tokens a month. A chat image costs 4 tokens and a short video 12 to 30. In our test, the character remembered our name and details from earlier in the chat, and Candy saves key details on its own after 20 messages.

The drawbacks: pictures and video cost tokens every time, extra tokens cost $9.99 for 100, and the free account gets 5 messages and one image.

Best for: people who want an anime girlfriend who sends a lot of pictures and clips. Our Candy AI review has every price we paid.

2. Lovi Dream, best for anime girls with a story (our app)

Lovi Dream is our AI girlfriend app, and it has six anime girls. Each one starts with a scene instead of a blank chat:

• Kiko, 24, a catgirl who works at the cat cafe on your street and has just locked the door with you still inside

• Nyx, 28, a succubus whose Halloween-party contract turns out to be real, and you owe her one night

• Lilith, a vampire who looks 29 and books you for a midnight photo shoot in Tokyo

• Ivy, 25, the gamer roommate who keeps stealing your hoodies and made a rule against dating roommates

• Aelira, 26, an elf ranger who just got her first phone and texts you every night from her treehouse

• Luz, 39, the divorced neighbor who keeps waving over the fence

She sends anime photos in chat, and four of the six have their own adult anime comics, like Neko Cafe After Hours with Kiko and After Dark Studio with Lilith, at 20 tokens a chapter. When a chapter ends, you can keep chatting with her where the story left off.

Premium costs $14.99 a month, $6.99 a month billed yearly, or $399 once for Lifetime. It includes unlimited messages and 100 tokens a month, and $9.99 buys 300 more tokens. The free account gets 5 messages and a photo, and signup takes one tap with Google.

The drawbacks: six anime girls is a small cast next to community apps with thousands, you can't build your own anime girl yet (the character creator is realistic only), and the anime girls don't have voices. Characters keep the last 80 messages of a chat in view, so she follows a long scene but won't recall last month.

Best for: people who'd rather have a few well-written anime girls with a setup and comics than scroll through thousands of community bots.
